An intro to Shane
Shane is a self taught web developer with knowledge in PHP, CSS, XHTML, & search engine optimization. Shane loves to teach & share his knowledge with others. Shane went to Ferris State University for 3 years studying Computer Information Systems in business. At school he learned programming, Novell, Linux, and Windows Servers, however programming in JAVA & Visual Basic is where he excelled.
Shane’s role at Chosen
Within Chosen, Shane works with web development and programming. In addition to programming Shane excels at managing tasks and cross browser compatibility with Firefox, IE7, Safari, Opera, and Google Chrome.
Shane is a front-end developer with knowledge in CSS & XHTML, as well as a back-end developer with knowledge in PHP using MySQL and SQLite. Shane has working knowledge using Wordpress, and meets industry standards in XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.
Currently he’s learning Ruby, Rails, ASP, ASP.NET, & JavaScript.

An intro to Clay
Clay is a Web Developer, Designer and Entrepreneur. He loves to share his ideas, creations & inventions with others aiming to be a leader in new trends and technologies. Developing websites and applications that are both highly functional as well as creative.
Clay attended Ferris State University for two years, focusing on Graphic Design & Web Media. He learned the formal process of quality graphic design. After school he pursued practical business skills and web development by working for a large Internet Consulting firm in Lansing. After spending a year there Clay enhanced his skills in front-end web development, as well as project management, search engine optimization & server administration.
Clay’s role at Chosen
Clay’s role at Chosen is a very broad and complex position. Clay manages the web development team as lead web developer, user interface designer, programmer, and search engine guru. Clay helps the transition from creative inspiration to functional application flow smoothly from phase to phase until completion. With his well rounded experience in multiple technologies, he can oversee both design and development to resolve things efficiently.
An intro to Alex
This is Alex Tourtillott, representing a creative end to the Chosen team. An idea man, and aspiring visionary. Alex has a background in design and print dating back to his high school years. Learning the basic fundamentals of the design process, printing, and photography at a career prep school while in high school.
Alex’s role at chosen
Having an associate’s degree in business now, majoring in Graphic Design, Alex has a passion for seeing projects come out looking beautiful! While in college he worked alongside designers and pressmen as an assistant part time. Being able to look at a final piece that is aesthetically pleasing is job satisfaction to him at its finest.
Currently focusing on business management, Alex is learning the building block basics about the entrepreneurial world. A designer, writer, marketer, and volunteer, Alex has got what it takes to see a task through, from start to finish.

An introduction to Mark
Mark is a Michigan State Graduate with a bachelor degree in social science. An outgoing man that can always greet us with a smile! He brings a lot of energy and drive to the team; he works towards our team goals, as well as his own.
Mark is the well organized man you’ll often find in the midst of people, networking and shaking hands, carrying conversation and asking the right questions.

Here at Chosen Mark works to manage what is ahead of us, while keeping positive relationships with business contacts. Currently, Mark is learning the basic tools and knowledge of the development world while heading our marketing.
